FinPlanner ("the app") is a personal finance management app developed for individual use. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
FinPlanner does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal or financial data on any server. Everything you enter — transactions, budgets, savings goals, debts, Zakat calculations, and trip plans — is stored only in a private database on your own device. The developer has no access to this data and cannot see it.
FinPlanner does not require an account, does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not send your transactions, balances, budgets, goals, debts, or Zakat figures anywhere. There are no servers operated by the developer that store user data.
All app data is stored locally on your device in a private, app-scoped database. This data is included only in backups you create yourself (see below) and is removed if you uninstall the app.
If you enable the optional PIN or biometric app lock, your PIN and biometric authentication are handled entirely by your device's own operating system and secure storage. FinPlanner never sees or stores your fingerprint, face data, or biometric templates — it only receives a yes/no confirmation from your device's biometric system.
The Zakat calculator can optionally auto-fill gold and silver prices. This feature is off by default and only activates if you enter your own free API key from GoldAPI.io in Settings.
When used, the app sends a request directly from your device to GoldAPI.io containing only your API key and the currency code needed to fetch the current price. No transaction data, personal information, or other app data is included in this request. This is the app's only network connection; without an API key configured, FinPlanner makes no network requests at all.
The app includes an optional Backup & Restore feature that lets you export all of your data to a file of your choosing, and restore it later. This file is created and stored using the device's own file system, wherever you choose to save it (e.g., your device storage or a cloud folder you manage yourself). The developer never receives a copy of this file.
FinPlanner does not share, sell, or transmit any user data to third parties, advertisers, or analytics providers.
FinPlanner is a general-purpose personal finance tool and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect data from children, as it does not collect data from any user.
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
